Since the inception in the year 2002 the organization has been conducting the activities as per the objectives. The major aim of the Samstha is to make the people aware about the importance of dates i.e. 31st March i.e. Jathiya Pathaka Avirbhava Dinothsavam and 2nd August i.e. Birth Anniversary of Sri Pingali Venkaiah, the designer of our flag. In collaboration with viswasahithi, a well known cultural organization on Republic day i.e. 26.01.2004 a programme was conducted at Chikkadapalli Mai participants of the program were Sri.K.R.K. Mohan, Sri Bobbli Malla Reddy, Smt. P. Susheela and G. Seshapani Sharma and Dr. P. Sambashiva Rao Poetry and singing competition were conducted and prizes were given to the winners. Everybody appreciated the programme and the music programme at the end of meeting.

On 31.03.2004 at City Central Library Chikkadpalli, Hyderabad 83rd anniversary celebration of National Flag Formation Day. Smt. Sailaja Mitra acted as Anchor of the programme and digniteries attended were Sri Maharadhi, Cinema Writer, Sri S. Prasad Rao, Retd Joint Labour Commissioner and Sri M.L. Narasimham Secretary, Sri Krishna Deveraja Andhra Bhasha Nilayam well known Freedom fighter Sri M.S. Raja lingam came as Chief Guest and the report of the activities were presented by Smt. K.H.S. Jagadamba, Hon. Secretary. The Organization honoured Smt. Ghantasala Seetha Maha Lakshmi, only daughter of Sri P. Venkaiah.

The programme went on well and the cultural programme organized by Dr. P. Raja Lalitha was well appreciated. On 127th Birthday of Sri P. Venkaiah the trust conducted a meeting in the premises of St. Johnsons public School, Vijayawada on 03.08.2004. Smt. Irus Sibester attended as Chief guest and Sri K. Prabhakar as Reddy, IAS, District Collector, Krishna District and Dr. Turlapati Kutumba Rao, Journalist participated in the meeting.

During the year 2005, the trust celebrated the important days i.e. 31st March and 1st April 2005 in Vijayawada At chamber of commerce & Industries on 31.03.2005 the meeting was presided by Sri. T. Kutumba Rao and Smt. V. Usha Rani, IAS, Municipal Commissioner, Vijayawada attended as special guest and the other dignitaries such as Sri. Malladi Visham chairman – UDA, Vijayawada, Sri Mandali Buddaprasad, MLA, and Sri G.Subbarao, President Chamber of Commerce, Vijayawada helped to make the programme Success. Well known freedom fighters Sri. Raveri Arjuna Rao and Sri Vemulapalli Vamana Rao were felicitated by the Trust.

The Programme was concluded after awarding the prizes to the school children who won the competitions conducted by P. Venkaiah Charitable Trust Organizers.

The celebration of the National Flag formation day was continued for the second day i.e. 01.04.2005 at Vijayawada. The important event of the celebration was the book release. The book published by P. Venkaiah Smaraka Trust and written by Smt. K.H.S. Jagadamba founder Secretary of the Trust “A greets soul of India Sri Pingali Venkaiah (The Designer of National Tricoloured Flag) was released by the Chief Guest Sri K. Prabhakar Reddy, IAS Collector, Krishna District. The report of the activities conducted during 2005 was presented by the secretary Smt. Jagadamba Freedom fighters Sri Siripurapu Koteshwar Rao, Sri. Karre Janardhan Rao, Sri Parakala Pattabhi Rama Rao and Sri Ram Murthy Ex MLC were honoured by the Trust. Other dignitaries present were Sri V. Durgadas Vice Chairman, UDA, Sri J. Shankar, Ex Mayor, Sri M. Vishnu, V.G.T.M. UDA, Mandali Budda Prasad, MLA, Sri G. Manikyala Rao, Industrialist and Sri C.H. Vengala Reddy, president, Schools & Tutorials Association. The meeting was presided by Sri. Y. Lokanatha Sharma, Advocate.

The major decessions taken by the trust were,
  • The intensify the programmes for children to inculcate the patriotism and respect to the Nation Builders in them.

  • To pursue the construction of park and statue at Vijayawada in memory of Sri P. Venkaiah as Govt officials are not responding in spite of repeated appeals.

  • To Celebrate the Birthday function at the birthplace i.e. Bhatla Penumarru Village, Muvva Mandal, Krishna Dist on 02.08.2005.

  • To request the Govt to honour Sri P. Venkaiah with “Bharata Ratna” award.

  • To conduct singing, drawing, elocution competitions for the school children and the distribution of prizes to encourage them.

  • To request the Govt to permit the trust to conduct the cultural programmes in every school of Krishna Dist. Initially and then to expand the same in the private & govt schools.

On 02.08.2005 at the Birth Place of Sri P. Venkaiah i.e. Bhatla Penumarru, the 128th Birth Anniversary function was celebrated. In connection with that three Mandals is Muvva, Ghantasala, Challapalli conducted competitions for school children Essay writing was conducted on the life of Sri P. Venkaiah for the classes 8,9 & 10 and 6th, 7th class students participated in the patriotic song competitions School children participated actively and prizes were awarded for I, II & III places. With the cooperation of MEO and the other local people the programme was organized successfully. Two freedom fighters Sri Chalasani Venkatadri and Sri Kamineni Eswar Rao were felicitated. Sri Mandali Budda Prasad MLA., Sri Perni Ventkatramaiah MLA, Sri Paturi Ramaiah, MLA attended the meeting as representatives from consistency Sri Turlapati Kutumba Rao presided and Smt. K.H.S. Jagadamba presented the report and achievements of the trusts she mentioned that the efforts of the trust are very much fruitful as in some places of Andhra Pradesh the people are remembering Sri P. Venkaiah on his birthday and children are getting motivated towards moral values, patriotism and respect to the people who were the builders of the Nation.
