Since the year 2002 Trust is creating awareness in people and educating the children through school programmes and conducting cultural programmes through out Andhra Pradesh.

It was a proud achievement of the Trust that their continuous effort became fruitful by releasing the stamp of Sri P. Venkaiah by the Govt. of India. And now they are requesting the Central Government to award Bharat Ratna to Sri P. Venkaiah as it is high time to recognize his services.

On 01.04.2010, the 90th Flag formation day was conducted at City Central Library, Chikkadpalli, Hyderabad.

Dr. A. Chakrapani Chairman A.P. Sasana Mandali attended as Chief Guest. / Sri Pothu Kuchi Sambashiva Rao presided the function Sri K.V. Ramana Chari, Smt. S. Swarna Sudhakar, Smt. V. Lakshmi Nageshwar, Smt. Jagadamba and other members attended the meeting. Smt. K.H.S. Jagadamba presented the report on the activities conducted and the progress of the Trust. She informed that release of the postal stamp of Sri P. Venkaiah on 12.08.2009 by the Chief Minister Sri Y. Rajasekhar Reddy is motivating the trust members to intensify the porgrammes. She told that now the book in Telugu “Our Pingali Venkaiah is getting translated in other languages so that the spirit is spreading to other states also. The trust is planning to conduct different competitions in private and government Schools as the school children are to be educated on National Flag and how it was designed and the designer and the importance of celebrating such events as the children are the main force of future. Mainly the people In Karnataka came forwarded to conduct the competitions in the schools. She expressed her happiness over the development and requested the other members in intensify the activities in all the district of Andhrapradesh.

Before concluding the programme Smt. Jagadamba honoured Sri K.V. Ramana Chari, Dr. Chakrapani, Dr. Pothu Kuchi Sambashiva Rao, Smt Swarna Sudhakar (Ex MLA) and Smt. Lakshmi Nageshwari. Members of Viswa Sahithi sang the patriate i.e. songs and Smt. Peketi Gutha Sivaram thanked the members, organizers and the dignitoriees. The programme was concluded with National Anthem.

On 02.08.2010 the Birthday of Sri P.Venkaiah was celebrated in the trust office premises at Vidyanagar, Hyderabad. Well known advocate Smt. Surivani convenor of trust at Delhi Office Smt. L. Sitha and Smt. Geetha noted journalist participated in the programme. Smt Jagadamba presented the report of the activities and she informed that the trust paid condolence to Sri Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy on his sudden demise and condolence note was sent to his son Sri Y. Jagan Mohan Reddy. She said that trust decided to honour the State 1st rank holder in 10th class examination will be facilitated by Pingali Venkaiah Charitable Trust within a month and so that is the tribute paid to the departed Leader Sri Raja Sekhar Reddy. She said that trust requested the Govt. to intensify the research programmes to collect the details of Sri. P. Venkaiah and to publish the details to educate the people and to improve the awareness in children and to create clear image in the hearts of the people.

Chief Guest Smt. Surivani told that the trust is actively participating in the development activites related to schools programmes and other research programmes on Sri P. Venkaiah / she appreciated Ms. Sridevi, Advocate for her interest towards the trust by providing accommodation free of cost which is worth about 8 to 10 thousand rupees per month.

Vidyanagar Corporator Smt. Sunitha attended as a special guest and appreciated the services of the trust. Members of the trust Sri Bhaskar Raju, Smt. Prasunamba, Smt. Rukmini, Sri Srinvas and Sri Chakravarthi attended the programme.

On 02.08.20110 in connection with the 133rd Birthday celebrations of Sri Pingali Venkaiah was conducted at Vijayawada in Sri Gurukula English Medium School. Hon. President of trust Padmasri Dr. Turlapati Kutumba Rao garu was appointed as the President of Libraries by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. Pingali Venkaiah trust honoured him for the achievement Sm. Jagadamba informed that the state first candidate Kum. Hemanjali will be honoured with Gold Medal in the month of September at Hyderabad. This programme will be continued for ever and every year, the state first candidate will be honoured.

Prizes distribution was done for the students who participated in the essay writing competition. Smt. G. Gayathridevi, Secretary thaked all the guests, invitees and the other members who helped to organize the programme.

On 12.09.2010 Sri P. Venkaiah Charitable Trust celebrated the first anniversary of Stamp release. At Sri Potti Sriramulu Telugu University, Public Gardens, Hyderabad function was conducted by the members at 10.00 A.M. Dr. P.V. Ranga Rao, MLC invited as special Guest Smt. Banda Karthika Reddy, Mayor of Hyderabad attended the function as special invitee. Smt. Acharya S. Sharth Jyostna Rani addressed the invitees and told that the trust is actively involved in the developmental activities and day by day numbers of schools conducting awareness programmes are increasing.

Smt. Jagadamba informed that since 10 years trust is conducting Sri Venkaiah’s Birthday and National Flag formation day in different schools. The intention of conducting the awareness programmes is to build patriotism in children and to educate the school children about the people who struggled to get independence to the Nation. Arrangements are being made to conduct cultural activities, Competitions in the districts of A.P.

Ms. Hemanjali, who got the I rank in 10th class examination for the year 2009-2010 at state level was honoured with Gold Medal. The medal presentation in memory of Dr. Y.S.Raja Shekar Reddy will be continued in future that the state will be remembering him forever.
